About Karen
Karen Lalley is a senior People and Culture leader who helps organizations scale with clarity, accountability, and purpose. As a Chief People Officer, she partners closely with executive teams and boards to align talent, structure, and culture with business priorities—particularly during periods of growth, change, and integration.
Her experience spans technology, healthcare, and renewable energy in PE- and VC-backed environments. Karen has built people functions from early stage through maturity, leading work across organizational design, leadership development, compensation and rewards, performance management, workforce planning, and post-acquisition integration. She is known for translating strategy into practical people practices that leaders can consistently execute.
Karen brings a strong operational and data-informed approach to People leadership, balancing rigor with empathy. She focuses on building strong managers, clear expectations, and healthy cultures that drive sustainable results.
Outside the office, Karen values time with her family, staying active, and seeking out new experiences, mostly outdoors. Her leadership philosophy is rooted in the belief that sustainable results come from aligned teams, clear ownership, and cultures built deliberately—not by accident.
