IT outsourcing is a way for businesses to get the IT services and support they need from external service providers, rather than staffing for and managing all their tech resources and requirements internally. Essentially, it enables companies to focus on their own core competencies and leverage outside experts to help fill their skills gaps. 

IT outsourcing can be comprehensive, with the external provider managing all of an organization’s technology, processes, applications, and infrastructure, or co-managed, with the external provider handling only specific parts of a company’s IT needs.

Outsourcing is a good option for many businesses, including those that:

  • need to get their IT capabilities up to speed quickly;
